Every year, McDonald’s nominates one employee in each region across the country who exemplifies qualities of outstanding commitment to service of customers and consistent, quality representation of the McDonald’s brand.
We were ecstatic to be able to surprise our amazing employee, Angela Johnson with this honorable award. Angela has been a loyal employee of McD Mateos for 17 years. She has been working in the same building at 1000 North Henry Street in Alexandria for 25 years, even before it was a McDonald’s restaurant!

She has been a vital figure in her community and goes out of her way to positively impact each and every customer she serves in the drive-thru. She is known for her kind words as she says “Gold Bless” to every customer who comes through the drive-thru. She is so well known, people look forward to her blessing each time they see her.
