Celebrating Greatness: Honoring Our McDonald’s All American, Darius Bivins

What an unforgettable night it was as we came together to celebrate an incredible milestone for one of our own members of our community, Darius Bivins, a McDonald’s All American!

Surrounded by friends, family, community members, and supporters, we hosted a special event to recognize Darius’ hard work, dedication and outstanding achievement. Being named a McDonald’s All American is one of the highest honors in high school basketball, and we couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate this moment with him!

The evening was filled with energy, pride, and joy from start to finish. Guests enjoyed great food, fun games, raffles, lively rounds of Bingo, and a vibrant atmosphere that truly reflected the significance of the occasion. The incredible Coco Louie from WPGC and Alston Waller from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington kept the crowd engaged, energized, and helped make the night even more meaningful with their presence and support.

We also heard from some of those closest to Darius, along with local leaders, all sharing powerful words about his journey, character, and bright future ahead. It was a true testament to the impact Darius has made both on and off the court.

At the heart of it all, this event was about more than just basketball; it was about community, showing up, celebrating excellence, and supporting the next generation of leaders. To further celebrate our future leaders, 15% of all event sales were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington. We are so proud to have been part of Darius’ journey and to stand beside him as he reaches new heights!

Congratulations again, Darius! Your hard work has paid off, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
